Antique French Signed and Framed Watercolour Painting - Village Scene

A beautiful signed and framed watercolour painting of a French country village scene.

Signed and dated in the bottom right corner, this is a painting of the village of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe in the Loire Valley of France, dated August 1934. The painting shows the village church flanked by village houses and more rustic barns.

The painting is in excellent condition and sits within a gilt finished wooden frame. This gilt colouring has worn away in places, revealing green and red undertones. Otherwise, it is in very good condition.
