Antique French Signed and Framed Oil Still Life

This is a beautiful example of a framed French antique oil on canvas painting, featuring a still life of a copper pot sitting alongside a glass with a floral cutting. Signed by the artist in the bottom left corner, this painting is a striking piece and sits in a gilded frame.

A fantastic moody piece, the shine of the copper pot and red petals stand out. The artist has also used beautiful detailing to capture the outline of the glass and pot.  An eye catchingmoody piece.

The frame bears a sticker for the famous Parisian department store Galerie Lafayette, where it was most likely sold originally. 

Sitting in a gilded frame, there is some loss and wear to the edges of the frame. The painting also sits within the frame quite loosely, and some gaps can be seen as a result of this. It still hangs well but you may wish to secure the frame further with masking tape.

The painting itself is in good condition but does have a some scratches to the surface and a small number of spots where the paint has come away.
