Antique French Rustic Kitchen Still Life Oil on Canvas

Signed by the artist, this is a fantastic piece of kitchen art dating to the early 20th Century.

With rustic tones, and showing off common pieces of stoneware, pots and bottles used in the kitchen.

A very well executed piece, the tones and light on this painting stand out, especially against the muted impasto strokes of the background.

Signed by the artist J Watelin in the bottom left corner, it is in very good condition. There are no breakages to the canvas, although it has cracked in the middle mostly around the bottle. There is a small amount of loss to the paint at the edge of the painting. The canvas at the back of the frame is also a little loose but is all secured tightly around the edge.
