A lovely antique early 20th Century porcelain French sauce dish featuring a duck’s head to pour from, with a mark for Alfred Hache & Co on its base.
Dating from the early 1900s, this is an unusual sauce dish, in the shape of a duck, which would be the perfect accompaniment when serving duck at home.
This dish is in excellent condition for its age. There are no chips, cracks or crazing and just some minor wear to the base. There are a couple of areas where there are surface cracks to the glaze, on the side of the dish and base of the handle. But these do not penetrate through and the dish is structurally sound.
A great and unusual addition for collectors of antique French country tableware or whiteware.
