Antique French Plain White Ironstone Oval Serving Platter

This plain white ironstone platter, sourced from France, has a Pillivuyt mark on its base dating it to the earlier part of the 20th Century.  

This platter has a simple, classic shape. It is great for use as a centrepiece for serving food upon when entertaining. It’s unusually tall for a platter, with the edges sloped quite deeply. And it a heavy and weighty piece

It is in very good condition for its age, with no cracks, chips or crazing. It does have some minor age and firing marks to the surface but on the whole it is a very clean piece. .
