Antique French Large Saint Uze Tureen

In the iconic blue and white floral pattern, this is a beautiful and hard wearing stoneware lidded Saint-Uze tureen dating from the early 20th Century.

In a large size, it's a very attractive piece with a striking combination of a blue stamped geometric and floral design.

A French country piece, this would have been traditionally used as a soup bowl or as a vegetable serving dish.

The tureen has some age, with some light scuffing and staining to the edges of the lid and the central handle. There is a hairline in the base of the tureen, but this is tight and stable.
