Antique French Ironstone Green Transferware Cafe au Lait Bowl

This is a listing for a beautiful antique French small ironstone cafe au lait bowl.

Dating from the early 20th Century, this is a fabulous example of a smaller sized French café au lait or breakfast bowl. Decorated with a beautiful green floral patterned border, which complements the aged creamy colour of the rest of the bowl, it is a very pretty piece. There is also a lovely 'Lise Longchamp' mark on its base.

The bowl has an aged appearance, with coffee colouring to the ironstone, and some odd patches of crazing. The base of the pot has some light nibbles, and there is a small flake chip to the top rim. There are some odd splashes of transfer print from the time of production too. But there are no cracks. 

In summary, this is an excellent piece of vintage French kitchenalia which would lovely displayed amongst other white ironstone piece but is also incredibly useful around the home still.
