Antique French Ironstone Cafe au Lait by Sarreguemines

A wonderful antique French white ironstone cafe au lait bowl with a pretty floral pattern surrounding it. A total of two available.

Dating from the early 20th Century, and made by Sarreguemines, these are fabulous French café au lait bowls. With a ribbed design, and footed base, they have a nice sturdy shape.

Both show sins of age and wear which add natural timeworn charm. The left hand bowl has a fine hairline and the pot on the right has more staining to its base and a small firing fault on the outer glaze. The gilt edging to the top rim on both bowls has also worn.
