Antique French Hen-Shaped Chocolate Mould

A lovely example of a sculpted two-piece tin chocolate mould in the shape of a hen, sourced from France.

Dating from the early 20th Century, this is a lovely piece to have on display in the home, especially at Easter time, or to make little chocolate hens with. 

Complete with its two original clips which hold the mould in position, this is good sized example, which was intended for moulding chocolate Easter hens. With lovely details of the feathers, beak and a crown upon the hen's head, this is a very sweet piece.

There is some mild oxidisation, mainly around the outside border of the piece, but otherwise it is in very good condition.

Perfect to add to a kitchenalia collection or to put proudly on display around the home.
