Antique French Glazed Pancheon or Dairy Bowl

A gorgeous example of an antique early 20th Century French dairy bowl, otherwise known as a pancheon.

These rustic bowls were used traditionally for bread making, and would still be perfect for similar use today, with the ceramic glaze ideal for mixing, binding and proving dough. However, these rustic bowls look great and can serve a range of uses in the home, as a fruit bowl, plant pot or for storing eggs or kitchen equipment.

Normally found in much larger sizes, this smaller sized bowl is perfect for everyday use.

It is in excellent order, with no cracks or chips and there are some lovely rustic drip marks from the glaze running down the outside of the bowl in places.
