Antique French Framed Miniature Portrait

Available to purchase individually, both are beautiful examples of French miniature watercolour portraits which date to the early part of the 20th Century.

Both signed and set in wooden frames which have a rich colour to them, both paintings have impeccable details, both in depicting the dress and clothing of each lady but also in creating the backdrop of different tones of grey.

The painting on the left is signed by Th. Riguez and depicts a lady dressed up in 1920s attire with a fantastic head dress and impressive jewellery. It is in excellent condition.

The painting on the right depicts a lady in her nightwear and draped in a red robe. This painting is also signed but it is hard to make out the name as the background area has suffered some water damage to the edge. Nonetheless, the image of the lady is still very clear and it is still a beautiful piece.

Both frames have their original backing although these have worn and cracked a little over time. Each also has a clip for hanging.
