Antique French Decorative Corbel with Cherub

This is a beauty! With a cherub taking centre stage on this floating wall shelf or corbel, it is a fantastic decorative piece.

Made from plaster, there is some age and wear to this corbel but it adds to its charm. As well as peeling paint, there are a few knocks, including to the wings and nose of the cherub, but none are too significant. The top of the shelf also possibly had another layer, but the remains are largely flat. Some air pockets in the plaster work can also be seen in places. Both the original hooks for hanging have perished, but as the middle section is hollow, wall hooks will hold this up.
