Antique French Carved Wooden Butter Brick With Rose Decoration

This is an outstanding antique French butter brick mould, dating from around 1900.

A lovely large size, there is a fabulous carved image of roses and foliage, surrounded by a sweet border. The patina of the wood is fantastic and it has a warm, honey colour to it.

This mould has its original fittings and is in excellent working order still. There are a couple of minor age cracks which have occurred over time on the outside of the mould, but these are minimal.

With its rustic patina, this would look beautiful simply sat proudly on display to give a rustic touch to your interior kitchen styling. But as it's in perfect working order, it's also ideal for more adventurous cooks who might want to try making their own butter.
