Antique French Cartes Postales Book

Weathered and worn by time, this antique French cartes postales scrapbook is such a pretty piece.

Dating to the early 20th Century, this fabric bound book has never been used. Covered with pink fabric with floral details on the front and pretty typography, the fabric has worn and frayed over time. There are some holes in the fabric in places and it also also coming loose in a few places around the book, although this could easily be repaired with glue.

Inside, each page is made up of card with a beautiful green decorative pattern, with space for four postcards. None of the pages have been used, however they have browned at the edges due to age.

At the back of the book the spine has come away, with some of the pages here loose. However, with careful handling this book could still be used to add postcards to, as memories of places visited. The internal pages are also very pretty and would lend themselves to scrapbooking.
