I have two beautiful terre de fer oval serving dishes, or what is known in France as a ravier, available for sale individually.
Dating from the early 20th Century, these excellent quality French ironstone dishes are very pretty, with a blue transferware border of scrolls and cornucopia contrasting against more of a Moorish backdrop.
Designed to serve appetisers and canapes on, these are fantastic ravier plates. They bear a St Amand terre de fer mark and are in the Maroc pattern.
Both plateas are in excellent order, with no chips of cracks, but there are some light age marks to the surface in places. The plate on the right also has some lightly stained crazing.
