Antique French Blue Transferware Ironstone Ravier

Dating from the early 20th Century, this is a very pretty French ironstone ravier, a little longer than most you see, with blue transferware floral pattern designed to serve appetisers and canapes on.

The plate is in excellent order, with no cracks or chips. There is light surface crazing all over, some of which as mild staining. The edges and base rim of the plate have also worn and stained, with some minor nibbles, but these features add to the natural timeworn feel of the plate. There is a backstamp on this piece although this has faded and I don't recognise the maker.

A beautiful dish which is perfect as serving or snack dish, and also for trinkets.
