A lovely early 20th Century framed and signed pencil drawing of Amiens city centre.
Signed by Berthe Mackiewicz, a prominent Amiens artist active in the early part of the 20th Century, this artwork depicts a street in the centre of Amiens, with the large cathedral looming behind. I find this artwork rather poignant as it pre-dates the second world war when the city was subject to a lot of bombing. It is a beautifully executed piece.
The frame has suffered some light wear and knocks to it over time, plus the mounting board has stained a little over time and has a number of age marks on it. However, the artwork itself is in lovely condition still.
