Antique Framed Miniature Watercolour Painting - Amorous Couple

This is a wonderful rather cheeky miniature painting, showing a Regency era couple unable to keep their hands off each other during a stroll.

Dating to the early 20th Century and sourced in France, it's a very fun piece, showing two lovers embracing whilst they ere no doubt on a walk together. The lady's hat and basket of roses have been discarded while a dog jumps up excitedly and a sheep looks on rather bemused. There's some lovely details in what is a rather small painting.

In a wooden frame, which has a gilded inner section framing the painting, it is in good condition for its age. There is some light wear to the top right hand section of the frame. The backing has also peeled away in places, which is a shame as there does appear to be remnants of a signature.
