This is a delightful ironstone toilet pull handle designed to be used on a high level cistern. Dating from the early 20th Century, it has a wonderful antique patina to it.
With an underglazed black transfer print which is still strong and clearly legible, the word ‘PULL’ is centrally located. There is no chain but the original hook is at the top to attach it. This piece stands out because the fittings at each end are made of brass; usually, they have been made from cast iron and often suffer oxidisation as a result.
The whole piece has an aged look to it, with lightly stained crazing across it. But this adds a natural timeworn charm. There are no cracks or chips.
A great decorative and authentic antique piece of hardware which will make a charming feature in a bathroom but could also be used as a pull handle for a light as well.
Length, 13cm including hook; Width, 3cm at widest point
