Antique English Carved Butter Dish with Willow Liner Plate

This is a wonderful example of an early 20th Century carved English wooden butter dish, complete with a willow patterned ceramic liner.

This treen butter board is an outstanding example, with a deeply carved 'Butter' motto crisply on display on the top of the board. It has a rich patina and colouring to it. The carving is exquisite and just as clear as when the item was first produced. It is complete with its original willow patterned liner, which is very tightly fitted (I haven't been able to remove this). 

This butter dish is in excellent condition. A lovely piece for display or use.
