A nice example of a large carved English breadboard, with a carved ‘Bread’ motto border.
This is a great example of an early to mid to late 20th Century English bread board. Sitting flat, and with the carving of the motto and rosette details still clearly visible, this is a decorative piece of vintage kitchenalia which is still very useful in the kitchen today.
This breadboard is in good condition. The carving is still very crisp, although there is a small amount of loss to the 'E'. There are some surface knife marks and knocks around the edge of the board, as well as a couple of areas of minor staining. But overall it's in good condition and is perfect for regular use or display purposes.
