This is a listing for ONE Victorian/Edwardian antique white ironstone packaging pot for Horrocks & Watson potted meats, dating from the early 1900s. A total of two are available to choose from.

These are great examples of antique advertising white ironstone pots for potted meat. The pots feature a large black transfer print, in excellent condition, which says:

"HORROCKS & WATSON. SPRINGFIELD HOME POTTED MEATS. SOUTHPORT"

Considered a throwaway item at the time it was produced, these English advertising pots were salvaged from an old Victorian dump and therefore bear some scars of their time underground. In spite of their history, though, these pots are in good order.

LEFT POT: In clean condition, this has a very clear transfer print still. There are some age marks scary across the piece. Most notably, though, there are two chips to the top rim, plus a firing chip which was covered in glaze at the time of production.

RIGHT POT: this pot also has a clear transfer print but has more areas of staining scattered across the pot, including what appears to be a burn mark to the top rim. There is also a small hairline crack at the back of the pot, although this is stable and tight.
