Antique Edwardian White Ironstone Queen's Pudding Boiler - Size 16

With natural timeworn charm, this is a great family sized Edwardian Queen’s Pudding Boiler in size 16, complete with its original lid.

Dating from the very early part of the 20th Century, this is both a collectable and highly usable pudding bowl, perfect to use for making sweet and savoury puddings - including a lovely sized Christmas pudding. And when not in use, this is a great looking piece of antique kitchenalia.

These antique white ironstone pudding boilers were available in a range of different sizes. This is the mid sized family version, ideal for a family of four. Featuring the logo in black transfer print on its front, which is also hammered into the lid, this is still an excellent looking piece of kitchenalia. Yet it’s also perfect for use in the kitchen still.

There are no chips or cracks on this piece and it is still perfectly usable, although it does now have timeworn colouring and crazing. It has crazing and coffee coloured staining all over the bowl, although this is more intense and richer in colour on the inside of the bowl, no doubt from where it has been used over the years. There is also some oxidisation to the metal lid.

The logo on the lid has faded over time but the belted black underglaze transfer logo to the front of the bowl is still exceptionally clear. Mixed with the timeworn charm of the colouring, this is still a highly collectable piece of antique kitchenalia.
