This is a listing for ONE highly collectable small Edwardian banded white ironstone storage jar for "CASTOR SUGAR” or "TAPIOCA", both in excellent condition with their original lids.
These white ironstone storage jars were popular in the early part of the twentieth Century, when foodstuffs were often sold in loose measures in local grocers shops. The "RICE” labels on these pots are still very clear and visible.
These Edwardian jars are in excellent overall condition, with no crazing, chips or cracks. There are just some minor age spots in places, most notable on the lids and base rims. There is some minor fading on the labels, most notable on the Tapioca jar, but both are still very clearly legible.
