Antique Early to Mid 20th Century Carved English Breadboard

This is a great sized antique early 20th Century breadboard, with a chip carved border featuring rosettes and a rich honey coloured patina which has lots of use left in it.

Dating from the early part of the 20th Century, this large sized carved English breadboard has a wonderful rich colour to it from years of regular waxing. Simple in style, the two rosettes on each side of the border do add character though and it has an extra large gully for collecting crumbs. 

In good antique condition, there are some knife marks from use. There are also some surface marks from where the piece has been sanded at some point. The board is raised by about half a centimetre on one side, meaning it can be pushed down slightly when in use. But it is still highly useable. It is also a nice decorative piece.
