Antique Early 20th Century Wirework Cooling Rack with Protective Bar

A versatile, useful and decorative antique wirework cake cooling rack.

Dating to the early to mid 20th Century, this cooling rack is a great piece of antique kitchenalia to have in the home. Although it is simple in style, the wirework grid has a crimped style which adds a nice decorative feature to this cake rack. The rack also features a rare raised bar along each longer edge, designed to help prevent cakes from toppling off the edge. Great for ongoing use as a cake stand, but this rack would also look great displayed as part of a kitchenalia collection.

Although there is some minor tarnishing to the rack in places, it is otherwise in remarkably good condition, with the wirework in tact and still very sturdy.

Overall, it’s a very sweet item which looks lovely displayed in its own right but is also still a very usable piece of kitchenalia.
