Available for sale individually, these are perfectly aged terre de fer bowls with lots of wear and buttery colouring.
With a Parisian mark the maker L Chanut on their base, the understated dark blue transferware border pairs perfectly with a stunning monogrammed set of initials. I think the letters 'H' and 'I' are represented in the monogram, but I can also see an 'M' in the middle.
Perfect for a range of decorative purposes around the home, as a fruit bowl or for displaying dried flowers, they are all very usable still.
Most of the bowls have some timeworn staining and wear to them but they are otherwise in good condition with no chips or cracks. One bowl does have a chip to its edge and another a small hairline on the rim and in the base of the bowl, and so these are available at a reduced price. Both are still usable, though, and these flaws add to their antique charm.
