This twin handled confit pot is a beautiful shape. A lovely large size, and finished with a creamy grey glaze, it's the perfect size for modern day storage in the kitchen or for decorative purposes around the home.

A French country piece, it would have been used for preserving different foods in a countryside property. Featuring a cork stopper, it was most likely intended to be used for oil or wine.

Dating from the late 19th/early 20th Century, these stoneware pots are perfect for modern day use. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a utensil pot, or look great used for display purposes anywhere in the home, as a display for flowers, or perfect for storing artists brushes. And the neutral, grey and beige hues of this pot works well in any interior.

Considering it is a rustic country piece, it is in very good condition with just a couple of small chips to the base rim.

Height, 22.5cm; Width, 30cm at widest point (diameter of pot is 23cm)
