Antique 19th Century Silver Plated Ice Bucket with C Initial

A gorgeous timeworn example of an antique late 19th Century ice bucket, produced by A Frenais.

Operating at the end of the 1800s, the Armand Frenais silversmith company was renowned for producing quality pieces of metal plate. This is a lovely example, with the initial 'C' engraved on the front in gothic stylised script.

Rustic in its appearance, with tarnishing and staining from use over many years, and some minor knocks and dents which are mainly focused where the handles are, it is nonetheless still a very usable piece.
