A fabulous rustic and primitive piece, this large dough board has an amazing patina.

Dating from the mid 19th Century, this is a great chopping board to add an authentic country or farmhouse look to your interior. 

Swedish in origin, this is a unique piece with the addition of a metal repair to keep the board in tact where the wood had previously split. The repair itself is old and more than likely dates back to the 19th Century too.

In addition to the repair work, the board has taken on a weathered and worn look over the year, with wear to the handle and edges. There are stains and surface scratches from use, plus the old split can still be seen on one side and there is also a surface split to the outer surface close to the handle on the repaired side. 

A perfect piece for display, or for use as a charcuterie or cutting board. The board doesn't sit perfectly flat, the result of the wood warping a little over time. But this adds to its charm.
