Antique 1920s French Ironstone Ravier with Green Transferware Pattern
Antique 1920s French Ironstone Ravier with Green Transferware Pattern
This is a listing for a lovely antique early 20th Century ironstone oval serving dish, or what is known in Belgium and France as a ravier.
Dating from the early 20th Century, this excellent quality French ironstone dish was made by St Amand, and it has a lovely backstamp.
Designed to serve appetisers and canapes on, these are fantastic little serving dishes. Featuring a deep green transferware pattern around its border, this contrasts nicely against the aged white ironstone backdrop of the plate.
The plate is in excellent order, with no cracks or crazing, but there is some light staining and nibbles to the top rim. But these flaws add to the natural timeworn feel of the plate.
A beautiful dish which is perfect as serving or snack dish, and also for trinkets.
