This is a beauty! Sourced from Paris, this floating wall shelf or corbel is a fantastic decorative piece.

Made from moulded papier mache, and topped with a wooden shelf section, the base is very ornate in rococo style with overlapping and scrolled cornucopia.

It is in fair condition for its age, with some surface scratches and general wear. There is one small section where the gilt has come away. There is also an old breakage in the middle section, but this has been painted over and so isn't overly notable.

Two clips have been added to the back to allow this to be hung easily
