This is a stunning antique French wirework and iron planter, perfect for a variety of decorative purposes around the home.

Dating from the early to mid 19th Century, this wire oval tray, with cast iron supports in its base, is an extremely pretty piece. The original cream paint is now faded and timeworn in places, with traces of the original wire and some oxidisation coming through. 

A very characterful piece, it could be used for a multitude of purposes around the home: as a planter, but also to display coral or large shells or to store hand towels in the bathroom.
