Vintage Mid Century French Shop Flour or Grain Scoop

antique french early mid century butchers grocers shop treen brass flour grain scoop

A wonderful example of a large French brass grain scoop, which typically would have been found in a shop serving flour and grains loosely.

Dating from the early to mid twentieth Century, these types of scoops were designed for weighing out grains and flour for sale. With a brass scoop and brass collared handle, this is particularly attractive. This example is a large size, which would look excellent on display and is still extremely functional too.

In good overall condition, the brass scoop does show some signs of wear, and has some small dents to it, from years of use. It also has some tarnishing to it. However, it’s still usable and is a solid piece.
