Vintage Early to Mid 20th Century Grey Rustic Tall Italian Confit Pot
A great tall medium-sized antique Italian glazed stoneware confit pot, which is the perfect size for modern day storage in the kitchen or around the home. An Italian country piece, it would have been used for preserving different foods in a countryside property.
Dating from the early to mid 20th Century, these stoneware pots are perfect for modern day use. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a utensil pot, or look great used used for display purposes anywhere in the home. And the neutral, grey and beige hues of this pot works well in any interior.
The condition of this confit pot is good. While there are no chips on the piece, there is a hairline crack running across its base. This doesn’t affect its use, as the crack is stable. However, I would exercise caution if this is to be used as a vase. While I have tested it with water, and no liquid seeped through, this can’t be guaranteed. Still, this doesn’t detract from the rarer tall shaped pot which can still fulfil many uses around the home as a piece of vintage home decor.
Width, 21cm at widest point (diameter of pot is 17cm)
