Vintage Mid Century French Stoneware Advertising – La Conserve Confiture Pots
This is a listing for ONE vintage French stoneware pot, featuring advertising for ‘La Conserve’, a type of jam. A total of three are available to choose from, in two different sizes.
Dating from the mid 20th Century, these versatile, practical and useful stoneware jars were often kept after purchase, as they made great containers for olives and preserves. ‘La Conserve’ was available in four different sized pots, and I have examples of the smallest and largest available for sale.
All in excellent condition, these pots are lovely decorative pieces with the black transfer print across their fronts. But they are also great for modern day storage in the kitchen or around the home. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a container for small utensils, look great used as a display for plants and are also perfect for storage. And the clean, creamy grey colour of the pots works well with any interior.
The condition of all three pots is excellent, with no significant chips or cracks. The larger size 4 pot is a little lighter in colour and has some light crazing and tiny nibbles to its rim. One of the smaller pots has some patches of staining, which add to its character if you prefer a timeworn look.
