Vintage French Stoneware Lidded Confit Pot or Preserve Jar in Warm Neutral Tones

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A great medium-sized vintage French lidded confit or preserve pot (most likely for olives) which is perfect for modern day storage in the kitchen or around the home.

Dating from the mid 20th Century, these stoneware pots are perfect for modern day use. They add a rustic charm to a kitchen as a utensil jar, look great used as a display for flowers and are also perfect for storing artists brushes. And the clean, creamy grey colour of this confit pot works well with any interior.

The condition of this confit pot is excellent with no staining or crazing as can often be the case. There are just a couple of odd marks of discoloration. There is a small chip to the inside rim where the lid sits but otherwise this is lovely.

Height, 15cm; Width, 15cm (diameter of pot is 11.5cm)
