Vintage Copper Sugar Bowl or Preserve Pot with Original Matching Spoon and Lion Detail on Lid

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A fabulous vintage, possibly French, copper preserve pot or sugar bowl complete with its matching original spoon, dating from the mid 20th Century.

This is a great piece of vintage copper kitchenalia. It is a nice sized bowl which is ideal for use as a sugar bowl, or for serving preserves or jams. It has its original spoon too. The lid features a lion standing nobly, against the background setting of its natural habitat. It’s a rare and interesting piece of kitchenalia which still has lots of use left in it.

The set is in overall good condition. There are no dents to the copper. The only signs of wear are some tarnishing on the pot, most notably on one side, on the spoon and a few spots inside the bowl. However, these don’t affect its use and also adds to the aged charm of the piece.

Diameter of pot, 8.5cm; Height, 4.5cm; Length of spoon, 11cm
