Antique Victorian Stoneware Cream Pot Advertising The Manchester Dairy Company, Ardwick

1930s antique Meredith Drew glass shop counter advertising display jar

A wonderfully cute sized antique stoneware cream pot, featuring advertising for The Manchester Dairy Co. Ltd in wonderful blue transfer print, dating from the late Victorian period.

This small advertising pot features advertising on the front for the Manchester Dairy Company, which was based in Ardwick, arranged in a horseshoe design. It dates from circa 1898.

This antique advertising pot is in lovely condition, with no chips or cracks, and just some normal wear to the base. There are some minor surface marks to the glaze, which adds to the timeworn charm and patina of this piece. The blue transfer print logo has a small amount of fading but is still clearly legible.

A great pot to display as part of a kitchenalia collection as well as general use around the home. They make great bud vases for small cuttings from the garden, and are also useful as stationary or paintbrush pots.
