Antique Early 20th Century Stoneware English Advertising Pot – Small Virol Bone Marrow Treatment
An excellent example of the small-sized stoneware pots produced for Virol bone marrow preparation treatment.
This antique jar is a lovely example of early twentieth Century advertising and packaging, with the branding applied via black transfer print. The transfer, although a little faded, still remains clearly legible.
The transfer print reads:
“VIROL. A PREPARATION OF BONE MARROW. AN IDEAL FAT FOOD FOR CHILDREN AND INVALIDS.”
The jar is in excellent used condition with no cracks or chips, and just some patches of discolouration to the stoneware.
