Rare Antique White Ironstone Advertising Pot – Cooper & Co’s Dairy Cream Jar

antique victorian rare white ironstone english advertising pot cooper cream dairy glasgow london liverpool

This is a listing for a rarely seen example of a Cooper & Co advertising pot, dating to around 1900.

This is a lovely clean example of an antique English advertising pot which is very hard to come across. The logo, which is the trademark for the company, features in the middle. As well as the manufacturers name, the locations of their dairies are also given prominence – Glasgow, Liverpool and London. It was most likely used as a cream pot.

Considered a piece of throwaway packaging at the time, this pot is in remarkably clean condition. There are no chips, cracks or crazing. The main signs of wear are around the top rim, where there are some nibbles and discolouration. Overall, though, it’s a wonderful rare piece of antique advertising which would look lovely on display and would also make for a unique bud vase for those wanting to add a vintage or rustic look to their interior.
