Vintage French White Ironstone Bowls with Lion Head Handles

I have a total of three heavyweight examples of an unusually shaped large French white stoneware mixing bowl with decorative lion head handles. They are available to purchase in either a small, medium or large size

Dating from the early to mid 20th Century, these whiteware bowls are all in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Each of them are heavy duty and sturdy pieces, these bowls are perfect for day to day use and also look beautiful on display, perhaps planted up with some bulbs. The medium and large bowls each have a Pillivuyt mark on their bases.

Each bowl does show signs of age, with some light staining and wear, although this does add a unique timeworn patina to them. 

Small Bowl - there are some pock marks to the top rim, which have lightly stained with age, plus some scuff marks to the lion faces. There are also surface scratches to the inside of the bowl, again which have discoloured lightly. Length, 21.5cm; Diameter, 19cm; Height, 9cm

Medium Bowl - there are a number of surface scratches and scuff marks to this bowl which have aged and discoloured over time. This is mostly notable around the top rim and also around the edge of the base. Length, 23cm; Diameter, 20cm; Height, 9.7cm

Large Bowl - there are some surface scratches and scuff marks to this bowl. These have developed into grease marks in places, which is mostly notable around the top rim of the bowl. Length, 24.5cm; Diameter, 21.5cm; Height, 10.3cm
