Vintage French Pillivuyt White Ironstone Asparagus Drainer Plate & Display Platter

This French plain white ceramic draining platter dates from the mid 20th Century.

Made by renowned French makers Pillivuyt, this two-part serving platter, with a drainer and base dish, is a useful piece of serving ware.

In a plain colour way, this white ironstone is a platter was originally designed for serving asparagus. But it’s perfect for a range of meats, fish or vegetables, with excess liquid able to drop into the base part of the platter.

Simple and elegant in style, this platter is in excellent condition. There are a few minor age spots in places and some minor wear to the base but there are no cracks, chips or crazing and it is in exceptionally clean condition.
