Vintage Carved English Butter Knife with Floral Decoration

A nice example of a carved treen handled EPNS butter knife, dating from the mid twentieth Century.

The hardwood handle features a carved flower in its centre, with overlapping leaves either side of it. The carving has some nice layering to it and makes it a very pretty piece. The EPNS blade also has an unusual engraved pattern which is quite masonic in its detail. 

The butter knife is in overall very good condition. The wooden handle is still in great condition and the carving is still crisp and sharp. The EPNS blade is also very clean, with just a small amount of tarnishing at the end.
