Stunning Crazed and Buttery Terre de Fer Compotier

This is an excellent quality French ironstone compote dish, dating from the early 20th Century, with a gorgeous timeworn charm and patina.

With a stunning mark for H Boulenger of Choisy le Roi in Paris, this terre de fer compotier dates to the late 19th Century. These are such decorative pieces for the home, ideal for fruit in the kitchen or dried flowers elsewhere. 

This compotier has a beautiful patina, with lightly stained crazing and buttery colouring all over. This complements the very pretty grey blue border and central motif.

There are no chips, cracks or damage, which is remarkable considering the age of this piece.
