A nice example of a small sized oval white ironstone drainer plate.
Dating from the early part of the 20th Century, these old drainers are excellent display pieces in the kitchen today, and also come in handy for staining fruit or meat. This is a cute sized oval version.
In overall fair condition for its age, there is light crazing all over although it is largely in clean condition with just some odd patches of mild staining. There is a small firing fault on one side where there is some excess glaze but otherwise it’s in very good condition.
