Rare Smaller Sized Antique French Confitures d'Oranges Picon Pot

This is a listing for a very rare French confiture pot for Picon Confitures d’Oranges, dating from the early 20th Century.

This French ironstone advertising pot is a scarce survivor and is in excellent condition.

This rounded Confiture pot by Picon is the smaller example that was produced, which is harder to source. It is a wonderful example, in overall clean condition, and with the beautiful orange decoration around the pot really standing out. The main signs of age are light crazing and coffee coloured staining all over the pot, but which is more notable on the inside. But this natural timeworn charm adds a beautiful patina and finish to the pot.

Bearing a printed mark on its base, this Confiture pot is a very rare example. It would look lovely as part of a kitchenalia or antique advertising pot collection.
