WT Avery were renowned scale manufacturers at the time. They also produced other shop outfitting items, like dairy slabs and platters. Their products often carried different versions of their logo in transfer print.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt is quite rare to find this ribbon version of the WT Avery logo in purple transfer print. Although a little scuffed and worn in places, this version is in great condition still, with the colouring still very clear and vibrant and no cracks.. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis white ironstone scale plate is in good antique condition. The transfer is still very clear. There are a number of age marks on the surface of the front of the plate, as well as some surface scratches and lightly stained crazing. There is also wear and some small chips to the outer rim. But this is evidence of its former life, where it would have been in daily use in a grocers or butchers shop. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt's perfect for display purposes and for use as a cheese board or meat platter.
