Rare Large Antique French Picon Confitures d'Oranges Advertising Pot

This is a listing for a rare French confiture pot for Picon Confitures d’Oranges, dating from the early 20th Century.

This French ironstone advertising pot is a scarce survivor and is in excellent condition.

This rounded Confiture pot by Picon is the larger example that was produced. It is a wonderful example, in overall very clean condition, and with the beautiful orange decoration around the pot really standing out. Considered throwaway items at the time they were produced, it is remarkable to see them in such good condition as this with no cracks or chips.

There are signs of age with age marks and light discolouration but this adds a unique timeworn patina to the piece.  

This Confiture pot is a very rare example. It would look lovely as part of a kitchenalia or antique advertising pot collection.
