There are some small losses to the gilding in some of the corners but nothing substantial. The beautiful relief work on the frame makes it stand out. The paintwork on the edge of the frame has worn away over time, and there are also some small knocks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAlthough the frame is missing its backing, this could easily be replaced to use as a photo frame again (suitable for a photograph 13cm x 9cm). I think this is also a highly decorative piece which could be used to frame dried flowers.
